Caring Quilters of Lambton Shores is a non-profit organization that came into existence on February 2nd, 2000 founded by Marilyn McCordic. Marilyn was a volunteer with Victim Services of Sarnia/Lambton and saw a need to help comfort victims in crisis. What better way to do that then to wrap a warm quilt around their shoulders. She called together like minded individuals (quilters) and their journey began. To date, over 1500 quilts have been distributed by Victim Services volunteers who are called out by Police Services to victims of house fires, car accidents etc. and wrap a warm quilt around them.
