Sarnia & District Humane Society uses a matchmaking process instead of kennel walkthroughs, matching families with dogs based on lifestyle and needs. Meet and greets run 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM and, once a match is found, take place as outdoor dates at Centennial Park; applications can be submitted online or in person and most meet and greets can be booked same day.

The Sarnia & District Humane Society is running the Save Timmy bail fundraiser to get Timmy the T Rex out of the shelter by the end of June. Every $10 donated earns a raffle ticket for a prize package that includes a $100 Gas card from Insight Tattoo and gift cards from local eateries, and donations go via e transfer to accounts@sdhumane.ca with "Save Timmy" in the notes.
